Prince William School is seeking to employ an Assistant Student Welfare Officer to join our team of dedicated support staff. The successful candidate will assist the Student Welfare Officers to provide a specialist service to support students to thrive. They will take statements from students about any concerns or incidents and liaise with colleagues about the appropriate course of action. They will keep the pastoral team and wider staff informed about behaviour and incidents and they will keep students informed about actions taken in response to incidents they have reported. 


The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, be methodical and organised, be resilient and resolute about effecting improvement, but also able to be understanding and supportive.


Prince William is a highly successful 11-18 school with happy, engaging, and interesting students. Applicants will need to be a team player, have patience, a sense of humour, and the ability to maintain a calm and professional manner at all times. Experience of working with teenagers or within a school environment would be an advantage.

Pro Rata 37 hours per week (normal daily hours are 8.00a.m. - 4.00 p.m. Mon – Thurs and 8.00a.m. – 3.30pm Friday; 30 mins unpaid lunch break each day) 39 weeks per year (Term time + INSET days)
