We are looking to employ, from January 2024, an enthusiastic teacher of Food and Nutrition who also has the skills to be the Second in Department and support the Head of Department to lead our team of dedicated Art, Design & Technology teachers. The successful applicant must be able to teach Food & Nutrition to KS3 and KS4 and will lead on the devising and delivery of the Food & Nutrition curriculum.

The Art, Design and Technology department has two newly refurbished dedicated Food rooms as well as dedicated workshops in both metal and wood with excellent facilities. The department is supported by skilled technicians who support the teachers in class and in the general organisation of the department. If successful, you will be joining a team of Art, Design, and Food teachers working together to deliver a strong, engaging, and successful ADT curriculum.
he school is keen to support staff to develop both personally and professionally, and the successful candidate will be given training opportunities to suit their needs and career aspirations. If an ECT is appointed, they will benefit from the support of a mentor who is a design teacher, as well as the supervision of a member of the Extended Leadership Team.
This is an exciting time for the school as examination results have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding. In 2023 75% of our KS4 cohort achieved grade 4+ in both English and Maths, and 52% achieved grade 5+ in both English and Maths. In KS5, we achieved 28% A* - A, and 79% A* - C, an average grade of B-, and an outstanding ALPS Quality Indicator score of 2.
