The Role

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic teacher of Maths to join our team of dedicated Maths teachers.  The Maths department is staffed by a team of experienced teachers and the department’s facilities are good, being housed in a bespoke block of 9 classrooms with a staff room. Our students are well-behaved, happy, and engaging individuals who are proud to be Prince William students. We are passionate about providing them with the best possible education and they have high aspirations for themselves and look to us to guide them on their journey to adult life.

The school is keen to support staff to develop both personally and professionally, and the successful candidate will be given training opportunities to suit their needs and career aspirations. If an ECT is appointed, they will benefit from the support of a mentor who is a subject specialist, as well as the supervision of a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Prince William School is located in Oundle, within easy commuting distance of Peterborough, Stamford, Kettering, Wellingborough, and Corby. It is a vibrant and friendly school that strives to deliver the challenging and inspirational curriculum our students need to prepare them for the ever-changing world of work. This is an exciting time for the school as examination results have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding. In 2023, 75% of our KS4 cohort achieved grade 4+ in both English and Maths, 52% achieved grade 5+ in both English and Maths, and our Progress 8 score was 0.14. In KS5, we achieved 79% A* - C, an average grade of B-, and an ALPS Quality Indicator score of 2.
