The Role

Are you currently a Deputy Headteacher? Are you looking to develop your career and join us as an #EMATters leader of the future?

We are looking for an experienced and visionary senior leader who is ready to progress to the next stage of their career. We are looking to recruit a Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for leading the school as Acting Head of School for part of the week when our Executive Lead supports another Trust school.

Working closely under the direction of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving success and improvement, providing professional vision and leadership. As the Deputy Headteacher, you will need to have a track record of sustained improvement in teaching and learning, leading to strong academic outcomes for all pupils. You will need to take a lead role in ensuring that teaching and learning is a key priority within the school, including the continued development of our school’s coaching strategy.

We are an innovative and research-informed Trust, working collaboratively to strive for excellence. The Deputy Headteacher will need to oversee the continued implementation of the curriculum, supporting subject leaders to develop their roles, including maths and English.

Supporting staff is crucial to our ethos; promoting and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders will be fundamental to this role.

In return, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop their leadership knowledge and skills within Castle Academy with a long-term view that they would eventually be able to lead schools across East Midlands Academy Trust.
