Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Cognition and Learning (including phonics and literacy interventions)
Hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30 a.m. - 3.30 p.m.
(30 mins unpaid lunch break each day)
39 weeks per year (Term time + INSET days)
Salary: NJC8 (currently £24,702FTE and £18,558 pro rata for hours specified)

Prince William School is seeking to employ an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team of dedicated and friendly support staff. The successful candidates will support students with Special Educational Needs but take specific responsibility for the Cognition and Learning area of need. This will include dyslexia testing, lucid screening, and ensuring appropriate phonics and literacy interventions are implanted. It would be an advantage to have training or experience in these areas, but training will be provided as necessary.
Prince William is a highly successful 11-18 school with happy, engaging, and interesting students. The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication skills, be a team player, have patience, a sense of humour, and the ability to maintain a calm and professional manner at all times. Experience of working with teenagers or within a school environment would be an advantage.
